Americans Add King-Cunningham

Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has acquired 17-year-old defenseman, Austin King-Cunningham, from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for a conditional draft pick. Austin is a 6’4, 195 lb native of Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan.

“Austin provides us depth headed towards the playoffs as well as next season,” stated Tory.

Austin started the 2017-18 season with the Vancouver Giants and now plays for the Estevan Bruins of the SJHL. In the last two seasons, Austin has posted the following stats:

Austin will remain in Estevan for the remainder of his season and join the Americans as an affiliate player when his current season ends.
