AMERICANS BOUNCE BACK AT HOME, WIN 3-2 IN OVERTIME

KENNEWICK, WA – The Americans were able to bounce back from a two game skid as they win their second of the season against Everett.

In a quick first period, the Silvertips got on the board first with a goal from Tuulola that was ruled a good goal after a video review.

The Americans came out of the gate fired up in the second period. Vladislav Lukin got the Ams going just two and a half minutes into the period. Just 16 seconds later, Juuso Valimaki would net his first of the season to put the Americans in the lead.

In the third, the Tips would get the lone goal to tie the game from Matt Fonteyne. With a 2-2 tie, we would head to overtime.

Americans’ goaltender Beck Warm would make a trio of amazing saves in overtime to give the team a chance to score at the other end. Michael Rasmussen would do just that to end the game on a chip shot off of a rebound.

The Americans go on the road Wednesday in the second game of the game stint against the Silvertips.
