Mutala’s wins week five CHL Showdown with overtime goal against Seattle

KENNEWICK, WA – Americans forward Sasha Mutala emerged victorious on Monday in the weekly fan-voted CHL Showdown. The 17-year-old’s overtime goal in Seattle on October 20 represented the WHL against plays from the QMJHL Halifax Mooseheads goaltender Alexis Gravel and OHL Sudbury Wolves forward David Levin.

Mutala is currently on a career-high six-game point streak dating back to an assist on October 16. His success earned him a ‘B’ rating by NHL Central Scouting in their October report of 2019 NHL Draft Prospects.

The Americans return to the Toyota Center after an 11-game road trip for back-to-back games on November 23 and 24. Get your tickets here or at the Toyota Center Box Office.
