Välimäki leads Finland to 4-1 win over Denmark

KENNEWICK, WA – Juuso Välimäki helped lead Team Finland to a 4-1 victory over Team Denmark earlier today. He picked up an assist and a goal in the win.

Juuso’s goal came off of a ripping shot from the high slot area that many fans were admiring. Torie Peterson, a contributor for the Calgary Flames had this to tweet about Juuso, “Valimaki’s goal is a prime example of what an excellent shot he has. He’s not a small player by any means but he’s not a hulking physical presence either … yet his shot is an absolute bomb. He puts so much power into it. And for the most part, it’s extremely accurate. #WJC2018”.

With his two points on the game, Välimäki moved into a tie for 2nd place in scoring for the tournament with a goal and two assists.
