Ams end skid against Chiefs with St. Patty’s Day luck

The Ams definitely felt the presence of their returning talent with Vlad Lukin and Maxwell James being key contributors in their win over the Chiefs. Lukin scored at the end of the 1st period and the Chiefs pulled even in the second. The Ams held a 4-2 lead over the Chiefs with 2 minutes to play before Kailer Yamamoto would punch home his 2nd and 3rd goals of the contest to send us to overtime. The Americans, not willing to drop another game, came out strong in OT with Morgan Geekie scoring the game winner just 28 seconds into overtime.

The Ams now travel to Spokane for the 2nd game of the home and home series tomorrow night.
