Americans acquire Huo from Thunderbirds

KENNEWICK, WA – Tri-City Americans General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has acquired 17-year-old center Samuel Huo from the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for a conditional 5th round pick in the 2020 Bantam Draft.
Huo, a 6’4 185-pound forward from Richmond, BC, is in the midst of his second WHL season. Originally listed by Seattle in 2017, Huo has played 101 regular season games for the Thunderbirds totaling 6 goals, 9 assists, and 49 penalty minutes.
“Samuel is a young, experienced forward with good upside,” said Tory. “After the departure of Isaac Johnson and recent injuries we felt it was necessary to add another forward to our roster.”
Huo will make his debut with the Americans tomorrow in Everett.
