KENNEWICK, WA –Tri-City Americans General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has signed 16-year-old right defenseman Bryson Andregg to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
Andregg, who hails from Allen, Texas, is playing this season with Delta Hockey Academy Midget Prep. Through ten games played he has recorded one goal, two assists, and 18 penalty minutes.
“I am honored and excited to sign with the Americans,” stated Andregg. “I knew it was a great organization with welcoming players and staff after my first training camp. The players seem to love it there and I felt that signing with the Americans would better myself as a hockey player and a person.
“I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
The six-foot and 170-pound defenseman was selected by Tri-City in the ninth round (190th overall) of the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
“Bryson is a skilled defenseman,” stated Tory. “He is a good skater with a high compete level. He also serves as an assistant captain on his team.
“We welcome Bryson and his family to the WHL and the Tri-City Americans.”
The Americans return to the Toyota Center on Saturday, January 25th to take on the Spokane Chiefs. Get your tickets for the popular rivalry game here.
