Carter Kingerski signs with Tri-City

KENNEWICK, WASH. – Tri-City Americans General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has signed 2008-born forward Carter Kingerski to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Kingerski was drafted by 35th overall by the Americans in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft.

“Carter had a dominant offensive season for the Winnipeg Wild,” said Tory. “He also possesses tremendous leadership skills. We are excited to see him in an Americans uniform!”

Kingerski, from Headingly, Manitoba, was selected after a remarkable 2022-23 campaign with the Winnipeg Wild U15 AAA where he led his team with 107 points (54-53-107) over just 34 games. He added to his impressive season by contributing 29 points (12-17-29) in 13 playoff games.

“It’s been a dream of mine to play in the WHL and I’m thrilled to be a member of the Tri-City Americans,” said Kingerski. “I’m also super excited to be going with a few other Manitobans, and look forward to meeting and bonding with the rest of the team.”

The 5-foot-10, 155-pound Kingerski is the second member of the Americans 2023 draft class to sign with the team, joining 13th-overall pick Cruz Pavao.
