Cikhart was selected by the Americans in the first round of the 2019 CHL Import Draft. The 6’3 and 190-pound native of Praha, Czech Republic has tallied one goal and two assists through the season’s first six games.
After suffering a minor lower-body injury early in the season, Ferguson played his first WHL regular season game at the Americans’ Home Opener on Saturday, October 5th. The 5’11 and 175-pound hails from Missouri City, Texas. General Manager Bob Tory describes Ferguson as a solid two-way defenseman that transitions the puck well. Last season he played with the Dallas Stars U16 of the Tier 1 Elite League. In 30 games he recorded three goals, three assists, and 51 penalty minutes.
The upcoming NHL Draft will be held June 26-27, 2020 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.
