Ethan Ernst Commits to Acadia University

KENNEWICK, WA – It was announced today that Americans graduate Ethan Ernst has committed to Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia to continue his academic and hockey career.

Ernst was originally drafted 61st overall by the Kelowna Rockets in the 2017 WHL Prospects draft. He was acquired by Tri-City in October 2021 for a seventh-round pick in 2022.

The Weyburn, Saskatchewan native played 245 career games in the WHL, split between Kelowna and Tri-City. In 123 games played for the Americans, Ernst totaled 87 points (44 goals, 43 assists). He was named Tri-City’s 2022-23 Offensive Player of the Year after leading the team with 32 goals over 62 games.

Ernst joins former Americans captain Luke Zazula, who has played the past two seasons for the Acadia Axemen.
