Lukas Dragicevic Invited to Hockey Canada’s 2022 U-18 Summer Selection Camp

Americans defenseman Lukas Dragicevic has been invited to Hockey Canada’s 2022 U-18 Summer Selection Camp, set to take place July 20-23 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.
As part of Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team selection camp, 44 players – four goaltenders, 14 defensemen and 26 forwards – will compete for an opportunity to wear the Maple Leaf at the 2022 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Red Deer, Alta.

Dragicevic, a native of Richmond, B.C., was the first defenseman selected in the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft at fourth overall. He led all 2005-born defenseman in in the WHL this season as he put up six goals and 26 assists through 62 games played for Tri-City. With 0.52 points-per-game, Dragicevic had the highest points average for a 16-year-old Americans defenseman in team history.
The 17-year-old recently represented Team Canada at the 2022 IIHF World U-18 Championship in Germany. He was one of only four 2005-born players on the roster, scoring once and adding two assists through four games played at the tournament.
