The Americans will host the Portland Winterhawks tonight at the Toyota Center. In addition to a fun evening of hockey, fans can look forward to our annual G2 Construction Wiener Dog Dash during the first intermission.

Tri-City and Portland will meet tonight for the eighth and final time this season. The Ams are 3-3-1-0 against Portland so far this season. They last played on March 4th when Tri-City took a 4-3 overtime victory in Portland. The head-to-head points leaders are Marcus Nguyen (6-4 — 10) for Portland and Tyson Greenway (5-4 — 9) for Tri-City. Tomas Suchanek has played in net for all three of Tri-City wins against Portland. He has a 3.22 goals-against average and .912 save percentage against the Winterhawks this season.
The Ams opened another three-in-three weekend last night in Kent as they fell to the Western Conference leading Thunderbirds 6-3. Adam Mechura, Reese Belton, and Parker Bell each scored for Tri-City. Nick Avakyan played the full game in net and turned aside 29 of 34 shots faced. Forward Drew Freer returned to Tri-City’s lineup last night after missing 14 games due to an upper-body injury.
After losing two straight games to Seattle, the Americans will look to get back in the win column tonight. Tri-City is currently tied with Everett in the Western Conference standings with 63 points, six behind Prince George in 4th.
The Ams are home at the Toyota Center again tomorrow as they host the Kelowna Rockets. All Sunday games are Southridge Dental Family Nights! Youth 15 and under get in for just $5.
