Summer Check-In: Anthony Bishop

The weather is heating up in Kennewick and so are the offseason adventures. We checked in with our returning players to find out what they’re up to this summer and how they’re preparing for the upcoming season. Describe your offseason training routine?
AB: I spend three days a week in the gym with my trainer, and two track days where I work on agility and explosiveness.

Which skills are you focused on improving?
AB: This summer I am focused on improving my confidence with the puck.

Have you spent time with any of your Americans teammates over the offseason?
AB: Yes, I’ve seen Beck Warm and Danny Gatenby.

What has been the highlight of your summer so far?
AB: The highlight of my summer would be enjoying the good weather and getting out on the water with my good buddies.

Looking back at the Americans 2017-18 season, what was your favorite moment?
AB: My favourite part of the season would be how close we all became near the end of the season. We battled through adversity and managed to make a good run in the playoffs.

What are you most looking forward to about returning to Tri-City in August?
AB: I am most looking forward to seeing all the guys and catching up. Also getting back on the ice and preparing for the season.

AB: My favourite song if Kings Of Summer by Ayokay.
