The weather is heating up in Kennewick and so are the offseason adventures. We checked in with our returning players to find out what they’re up to this summer and how they’re preparing for the upcoming season. Stay tuned for a Summer Check-In with each Americans player, and check out previous Summer Check-In articles HERE.

Describe your offseason training routine:

I workout in the gym five days a week, and then on Saturdays I do just cardio. During the offseason I also skate three times a week.

Which skills are you focused on improving?

I’m focusing on my skating, quick feet, and puck handling.

What has been the highlight of your summer so far?

The highlight of my summer has been spending time with family and friends.

Looking back at the Americans 2017-18 season, what was your favorite moment?

It’s extremely hard for me to pinpoint just one moment from last year’s season. We had a really good team, where everyone was for each other. I’m sure all of us will remember that season.

What are you most looking forward to about returning to Tri-City in August?

I’m most excited to see all the guys and my billet family, and to get back at trying to bring a championship home to Tri.

Favorite song of the summer?

My favorite song of the summer is “In My Mind” by Dynoro & Gigi D’Agostino.

Fun fact: Roman’s favorite sports other than hockey are basketball and football.
